Well one things for sure. You’re time in France has confirmed the commonly held view that they are masters of strike and protest as entirely true! It’s a shame that so much educational time has been lost but I don’t see that Keele can do other than accept the ‘force majeure’ and leave you’re overall course unaffected. You’ve got some great life experiences in the bank and frankly they are worth far more.

Have a great trip! DON’T buy Ryanair stuff they are absolute rob dogs! Do what I used to and get a couple of nice filled baguettes to take on board, and watch the hand baggage allowance because they will be looking to hit you with an excess charge. Weigh it before you leave! xxxx

Yep, they can make the strikes very affective… and affect a lot of people!
Apparently at the moment in my area the postmen are on strike!

Yea, the boundary for “la bise” is crazy one. For me with some people it was straight away.
“Hi, I’m in your music class”
“Oh hi” followed by “la bise”. But with others it come much later…
Still not quite used to it!
A week to day I am the way home!!
